First, melt the chocolate in a double boiler over medium heat, stirring constantly.
While the chocolate is melting, grind the hazelnuts into a fine powder using a food processor.
Once the chocolate is fully melted, remove from heat and stir in the wafer crumbs and ground hazelnuts.
Add the heavy cream and vanilla extract to the chocolate mixture, stirring until everything is well combined.
Pour the mixture into a round cake mold and let it cool in the fridge for at least 2 hours.
Finally, melt some more dark chocolate and pour it over the cake, spreading it evenly with a spatula. Let the chocolate shell harden before serving.
