Firstly, cut the garlic clove in half and rub it all over the inside of the fondue pot.
Add the Gruyere and Emmental cheese and the wine to the pot. Place it over a low heat until the cheese is melted and creamy, stirring constantly.
In a separate bowl, mix the cornflour with kirsch to get a smooth mixture. Pour this into the cheese and stir well.
Season with nutmeg and pepper to taste.
Once the fondue is ready, serve it immediately. You can dip bread cubes, vegetables, or fruits.
