Start by rinsing the quinoa under cold water. This is to remove the bitter coating that naturally occurs on quinoa.
Heat a tablespoon of olive oil in a pan. Add the minced garlic and sauté until it's fragrant.
Add the rinsed quinoa to the pan and stir it around so it gets coated with the oil and garlic.
Add two cups of water to the pan. Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat to low, cover the pan, and let it simmer until the water is fully absorbed by the quinoa.
Once the quinoa is cooked, stir in the juice from one whole lemon and a tablespoon of your favorite fresh herbs. Serve hot.
