detailed description

In a large bowl, combine 1 cup of all-purpose flour, 1 cup of ice water, and 1 egg. Stir until the batter is smooth.
Cut your choice of vegetables into thin slices. You can use carrots, bell peppers, sweet potatoes, or any other vegetables you like.
Heat 2 cups of vegetable oil in a deep fryer or large saucepan over medium-high heat.
Dip the sliced vegetables in the batter, making sure each piece is fully coated.
Carefully place the battered vegetables in the hot oil. Fry them until they are golden brown and crispy. This should take about 2-3 minutes.
Remove the vegetables from the oil using a slotted spoon. Drain them on paper towels to remove excess oil.
Season the vegetable tempura with salt and serve immediately.
