Add the tomato paste and cook for another 3 minutes.
Add the lamb, canned tomatoes, beef broth, potatoes, carrots, salt, pepper, cumin, coriander, turmeric, cinnamon, cardamom, and cloves.
Bring to a boil, reduce heat to low, and simmer for 1 1/2 - 2 hours, stirring occasionally, until the lamb is tender.
