Preheat oven to 430°F (or 220°C).
In a small saucepan, melt the butter over low heat. Add the garlic and cook until fragrant.
In a bowl, combine the butter mixture with the olive oil, wine, parsley, rosemary, salt, and pepper.
Rub the chicken with the mixture, both inside and out, making sure every part is covered.
Place the chicken in a roasting pan and roast in the oven for about 1 hour, or until the juices run clear when you cut between a leg and thigh.
