Doro Wat is a spicy chicken stew and Ethiopia's national dish. This recipe uses the traditional spice blend called Berbere, which gives the dish its unique flavor.

Clean the chicken and cut it into pieces. Season it with the Berbere spice blend and set it aside to marinate.
In a large pot, sauté the onions, garlic, and ginger until the onions are translucent.
Add the chicken pieces and chicken broth to the pot. Bring the mixture to a boil.
Reduce the heat to low and let the stew simmer for about 2 hours, or until the chicken is tender and the flavors are well combined.
Just before serving, stir in the lemon juice and add the hard-boiled eggs. Serve the stew hot with injera (Ethiopian flatbread).
