Chicken Biryani is a popular traditional Pakistani dish. It is made with chicken, rice, and a blend of spices. It is a one-pot dish cooked by layering marinated chicken and partially cooked rice, then cooking it all together.

Partially cook the rice.
Layer the chicken and rice in a pot.
Cook on low heat until rice is fully cooked.

Clean the chicken and marinate with Biryani masala, yogurt and ginger garlic paste for at least 2 hours.
Slice onions and fry in oil until they turn golden brown.
Add the marinated chicken to the onions and cook on medium heat until chicken is tender and the spices are well blended.
Rinse the rice under cold water until the water runs clear. Then partially cook the rice in a large pot of boiling water.
In a large pot, layer the cooked chicken and the partially cooked rice. Add sliced tomatoes and green chilies between the layers.
Cover the pot and cook on low heat until the rice is fully cooked and flavors are well combined.
