This is a classic Bangladeshi curry that combines a variety of spices to create a flavourful and delicious dish. It is perfect for a family dinner or for entertaining guests.
Heat oil in a pan.
Add cumin, coriander, ginger, garlic, turmeric, chilli powder and mustard seeds and fry for a few minutes.
Add onion and fry until golden brown.
Add tomato and cook for a few minutes.
Add potato, green peas and water and bring to a boil.
Reduce heat and cook until potatoes are tender.
Serve hot with rice or roti.
