Cook rice in stock

Rinse the rice under cold water until the water runs clear.
In a large pot, heat the oil and add the spices, onion, garlic, and ginger. Saute until the onions are translucent.
Add the rice to the pot and stir to coat in the spices. Add the chicken stock and salt. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer until rice is cooked.
