                    In a medium saucepan, bring water to a boil. Stir in grits and reduce heat to low. Cook, stirring occasionally, until grits are creamy and tender, about 20 minutes.
 While the grits are cooking, heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the shrimp, garlic, and cayenne and cook until the shrimp are pink and cooked through, about 5 minutes.
 When the grits are done, stir in the cheddar cheese until melted and creamy.
 To serve, spoon the grits into bowls and top with the shrimp. Enjoy!
