Chicken Kabsa is a traditional Qatari dish made of chicken, rice, and spices. It is a popular dish served in many households in Qatar and is usually served at special occasions and events. It is a one-pot dish that is easy to make and is sure to please everyone.
Marinate the chicken with ginger-garlic paste, cumin powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, garam masala, oil, salt and lemon juice for about 20 minutes.
Heat oil in a pan. Add the onions and sauté until they are golden brown.
Add the marinated chicken and sauté for 5 minutes.
Add the tomatoes and cook for another 5 minutes.
Add the rice and 3 cups of water. Cover the pan and cook for 20 minutes.
Garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot.
