Add coconut flakes, ground almonds, milk and vanilla extract to the butter and eggs mixture and mix until combined.

Pour batter into a greased 9-inch round cake pan.

In a medium bowl, mix together 1 cup of all-purpose flour, 1 teaspoon of baking powder, 1/2 cup of sugar and 1/4 teaspoon of salt.

Add 1/2 cup of coconut flakes, 1/2 cup of ground almonds, 1/2 cup of milk and 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla extract to the butter and eggs mixture and mix until combined.
