Start by washing the basmati rice and then soaking it in water for about 30 minutes.
In a pan, heat the oil and saute the onion, garlic, and ginger until they are fragrant.
Add the beef to the pan and cook until it is browned.
Add the Pilau masala and salt to the pan and mix well.
Drain the rice and add it to the pan. Mix well to ensure that the rice is well coated with the spices.
Add the water to the pan and bring it to a boil.
Reduce the heat to low, cover the pan, and let it cook until the rice is done and the water has been absorbed.
