Wash and hull strawberries
Mash strawberries in a large bowl
Add sugar and lemon juice
Heat mixture in a saucepan
Stir until sugar is dissolved
Boil for 10 minutes
Pour into sterilized jars and seal

Wash the strawberries under cold water and remove the green hull
Place the strawberries in a large bowl and use a potato masher to crush the strawberries until they are broken down to your desired consistency
Add the sugar and lemon juice to the bowl with the strawberries and stir until well combined
Transfer the strawberry mixture to a large saucepan and heat over medium heat, stirring constantly, until the sugar is completely dissolved
Increase the heat to high and bring the mixture to a boil. Boil for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally
Carefully ladle the hot jam into sterilized jars, leaving a 1/4 inch headspace. Wipe the rims of the jars with a clean cloth, place the lids on top, and screw on the bands until they are fingertip tight
Process the jars in a boiling water bath for 10 minutes. Remove the jars from the water bath and let them cool completely
