In a large bowl, mix together flour, paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
Add the shrimp to the flour mixture and toss until fully coated.
Heat the oil in a deep fryer or large saucepan to 375°F. Add the shrimp and fry until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes.
Slice the French rolls open. On one side, spread a generous amount of tartar sauce. On the other side, lay down a layer of shredded lettuce and sliced tomatoes.
