In a medium saucepan, add the white rice and 2 cups of water and bring to a boil over high heat. Once boiling, reduce heat to low and cover the saucepan with a lid. Simmer for 20 minutes.
After 20 minutes, remove the lid and stir in the cooked black beans, cumin, oregano, pepper, garlic powder and chopped fresh cilantro. Simmer for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Once done, serve hot with your favorite sides.
